SKIN CARE TIPS
The first impression you make is with your face. That is the first thing people
look at when they meet you. Taking care of your skin is key to having of
a good looking face. Caring for your
face is
an
important
thing that you can do for yourself and it's not very hard. The team at wrinkle
advice put together some basic tips and simple guidelines to encourage you
to care for your skin.
1) Cleaning your Skin
It is essential, that you clean your face every
day, it doesn't matter if your skin type is oily, dry or normal. Deep cleaning
using good soap keeps pores unclogged and skin healthy. Your choice of a
cleansing
product
should
be
as additive-free
as
possible.
Soap that
contains
perfumes
or deodorants should not be used for your face. Soaps and cleansers with
harsh or waxy ingredients can leave a waxy film behind. These cleansers
can also irritate your skin and clog your pores. Select a product that is
as
natural and mild as possible.
Sometimes using
a gentle scrub will remove dead skin cells and smooth the surface.
A good scrub should exfoliate without damaging your skin. Avoid scrubs
that contain hard ground up pieces of nuts or seeds. These particles
may tear and damage your skin. A good scrub will invigorate without
irritating or
damaging.
1) Moisturize your Skin
The best thing you can do for your skin is keep it moisturized! Use products
with the least amount of preservatives or cheap heavy waxes. Use a good moisturizer
on your face after cleaning it and don't forget
to moisturize your neck well. If your moisturizer has anti-aging ingredients
in it as well that is even better. things such as collagen, elastin, matrixyl,
Argireline will help with wrinkles. If you are going to be outside always
slather on plenty of high UV protection sunscreen.
For more intensive moisturizing and to target
damaged skin and wrinkles use products containing rich, healing ingredients,
such as vitamin E, aloe vera oil or squalene. Our skin produces less
of the oil that occurs naturally on the skin (sebum) as we age, so
moisturizing becomes extremely important. (See
our wrinkle product guide)
2)
Toning your skin
Our skin is subject to environmental pollution and the strong UV rays of the
sun everyday. Toning helps to keep your skin clear, firm and balanced. As we
age, it is harder
is maintain your skins' elasticity. Toners can correct your skins' pH balance,
reduce
the pore size, and unclog the pores, helping to reduce acne and avoid ingrown
hairs.
3) Protecting your skin
Protecting your skin can keep it looking healthier and younger longer. Key
elements to the protection and health of your skin include:
a) Avoid over exposure to the sun. Sun damage can lead
to hyper-pigmentation (brown spots) which. long term, can develop into
cancer. Lots of time in the sun
also leads to facial wrinkles. Use a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or
higher on all exposed skin, especially your face. Using a serum containing
vitamin C can help to even out your skin tone and fade brown spots.
b)
Exercise. Exercise promotes blood circulation
which increases oxygen distribution to the capillaries
and skin tissue. oxygen revives the
skin. Also perspiration from exercise cleans the
pores and removes toxins. Always wash your skin
right
after an exercising session to clean the
sweat and toxins off of your skins' surface.
c) Eat Healthy. Eating healthy
food, including lots of fruits and vegetable
will keep your skin looking healthy. Food containing
vitamins C, D and E help to maintain your skins'
elasticity. Drinking
plenty of water will hydrate and firm
your skin.
d) Avoid Self-indulgence. Over
consumption of alcohol, smoking, stress or lack
of sleep can take its toll
on the quality of your skin. These factors can
dull and discolor your skin making you old and
tired. Get lots of sleep and avoid excess to
keep your skin looking healthy, vibrant and young.
